Anne Colwell and Karen Flanagan travelled to Woodhall Spa for the final of the National Australian Spoons final on 10 August. It was a tough day in all respects, hot weather and played on a difficult fast running course with an incredible number of bunkers. It proved to be a tiring round, both physically and mentally but credit to the pair, who came off the final green with a smile on their faces and a creditable 27 points, putting them in 3rd place. They actually brought home the winners from Cornwall who were only two points ahead of them with 29 points and 2nd place on 28 points.
