Our aim is to run Wednesdays as a fun golfing and social day so please mark it in your diaries as a "date", whether it’s the golf, the darts, the skittles, the snooker, the food or the chance to win £100 with our “Play your cards right”.
The 9 hole golf competition fee of £3.50 gives you entry into a draw each Wednesday evening for the big money opportunity "Play your cards right”, the well loved higher or lower vintage game which starts as the 9 hole competition comes to a close at the end of the evening. You must be there at the end of the evening to have the chance to be in the draw for the £100.
Along with the Golf, we will set up the alternative games of darts, snooker, skittles each week so they can be played throughout the day with a chance to win £20 each Wednesday. Anybody including friends and family can take part in these games and win the money.
Each Wednesday a special pub food menu will be created at an exceptional price of £8.00.
We will have a very relaxed setting so bring your family and friends and a great Wednesday day & evening awaits you all.
Along with the golf, we will have "101 or more" with 6 darts throughout the day to win £20 (see at the bar for details on Wednesday's).

We are looking to all members to support the AGC Wednesday Social Event to make each Wednesday a success for the members and the club.
The social committee would like to see as many members/family as possible coming along.

A 'tasterlicious' evening of cheese, wine and beer was enjoyed by around 40 members and friends on Friday 1 March.
The energetic audience of members and non-members were treated to the knowledgeable and enthusiastic pairing of Dave from Majestic Wines and Tom of the Cheddar Gorge. The cheeses and drinks were enjoyed in a warm and friendly atmosphere - a great way to spend a Friday evening. Finished off with fantastic raffle and quiz prizes. Thank you to all who attended.

The Club held its annual 'Drive In' on New Year's Day and Club Captain for 2024, Pierre-Alain Weir successfully teed off along with Seniors' Captain John Taylor, Ladies' Captain Sally Benn and Junior Captain Noah Haines. For once, the rain kept away and the occasion was blessed with a clear if chilly afternoon.
