Thirty six ladies attended their pre season dinner at the clubhouse on Thursday 2 March. Our chef Peter Radford provided a varied menu which was well received and enjoyed by all who attended. There was a lively atmosphere all evening, with plenty of chat and banter. It was a very pleasant social occasion and an excellent preamble to the forthcoming season.
There was an excellent turn out of members, family and friends to support the new Captains for 2023 at their Drive In on 1 January. Thankfully the wet windy weather had blown through to provide a window of decent weather for the proceedings.
First on the tee and introduced by the outgoing Captain Barrie Ritchie, was Club Captain Peter Bembridge. He was followed by Seniors' Captain Trevor McCabe, then Junior Captain George Derbyshire. All three managed to tee off reasonably successfully before returning to the bar where, courtesy of the Club Captain, everyone enjoyed traditional Derbyshire Oatcakes.
